Position Details

This is a part-time position based primarily on site at Medical Alley’s Minneapolis office. Because this role serves as the administrator and activator of Medical Alley’s new innovation and collaboration space, the majority of working hours will be spent onsite. Some flexibility for remote work may be available based on program needs, schedule and responsibilities.

Position Overview

\n

The Project Manager, Starts will provide dedicated project and program management support to Medical Alley Starts, helping transform existing programming, knowledge and practices into a structured, repeatable and scalable operating model. Working closely with Starts leadership, internal partners, sponsors and other stakeholders, this individual will bring organization, consistency and follow-through to both current program execution and the continued development of Starts.

A key focus of the role will be capturing and formalizing the work already taking place across Starts—developing curriculum, documenting processes, establishing consistent workflows and creating the tools, resources and playbooks necessary to support effective program delivery and future growth.

The Project Manager will also serve as the primary administrator and activator of Medical Alley’s new innovation and collaboration space. Working from the space, this individual will help bring it to life as a hub for connection, innovation and engagement while establishing the processes and systems that enable sponsors, members, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to effectively utilize it.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Starts Program & Project Management

\n

    \n
  • Develop and organize Starts curriculum in partnership with Starts leadership, subject-matter experts, sponsors and other program stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, milestones and accountability structures for Starts programs and initiatives.
  • \n

  • Capture institutional knowledge and translate existing practices into clear, repeatable processes, tools and resources.
  • \n

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Starts playbook encompassing curriculum, processes, roles, timelines, templates and other essential resources.
  • \n

  • Coordinate activities and deliverables across internal teams, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Support current Starts programming while identifying opportunities to strengthen the participant and partner experience and build infrastructure for future growth.
  • \n

  • Establish practical systems for tracking activities, commitments, deadlines and outcomes.
  • \n

Innovation & Collaboration Space

\n

  • Serve as the primary administrator and day-to-day point of contact for Medical Alley’s new innovation and collaboration space.
  • \n

  • Help develop and activate the operating model for the space, including how meeting, entertaining and multipurpose areas are utilized.
  • \n

  • Translate membership and sponsorship tiers into clear space-access benefits, parameters and usage expectations.
  • \n

  • Establish and administer the cadence of use and reservation process, including scheduling, approvals, communications and coordination.
  • \n

  • Create guidelines and processes that make the space easy to access while ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with internal teams, members, sponsors and external partners to support meetings, programming, events and other uses of the space.
  • \n

  • Monitor utilization and gather feedback to continuously improve how the space serves the Medical Alley community.
  • \n

Organizational Collaboration

\n

    \n
  • Partner across Medical Alley to align Starts programming and use of the innovation space with organizational priorities, member engagement, sponsorship commitments, communications and events.
  • \n

  • Partner closely with Medical Alley’s Events Director and organizational team to coordinate Starts programming, space activations and events, ensuring alignment of schedules, resources, responsibilities and the overall participant experience.
  • \n

  • Serve as a connector among Starts leadership, internal teams, sponsors, members and other stakeholders to ensure strong communication and follow-through.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • \n

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, operations, member/client engagement or a related role.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to take evolving ideas and translate them into organized processes, timelines, tools and repeatable systems.
  • \n

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines.
