Job Title: Data Warehouse/BI Developer

Engagement Type: Contract

Location: 1111 E Main St, Richmond, VA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (ON SITE: 2 days/week required, parking not provided)

Start Date: 11/03/2025

End Date: 11/02/2026

Job Description

Supplement division staff by executing existing metric procedures for statutory and ad hoc reporting, as well as data discrepancy assessment and resolution.

• Develop end-to-end automation framework and documentation to load data and query results to SQL Server tables using standard Microsoft products.

• Build, validate, document, and implement end-to-end processes using automation frameworks to load vendor-provided and division data, calculate regulatory/division metrics, perform data quality checks, and address geographies coding.

• Train division staff on use and maintenance of automation framework.

Required Experience and Skills

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required, 4+ years)

• Software development/programming experience: 8+ years required

• SQL, SQL Server, and related Microsoft products: 8+ years required

• ETL development and Microsoft Visual Studio: 8+ years required

• Python and business intelligence tools: 8+ years required

• Project lead experience: 8+ years required

• Documentation skills: 8+ years required (writing clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation)

• Team training experience: 8+ years required (training team members on processes)

• Data quality checks and validation: 8+ years required

• High-level planning/estimation: 8+ years required

• Analytical skills/attention to detail: 8+ years required

• Strong communication/collaboration: 8+ years required

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines: 8+ years required

Desired Skills

• Experience using Census Geocoder: 8+ years desired

• Experience using APIs: 8+ years desired

Additional Requirements

• Must physically reside within the US for the duration of the assignment (no offshore candidates).

• Must agree to ON SITE work in Richmond 2 days each week; local candidates preferred.

• Initial interview will be virtual; manager may require in-person interview if needed.
