About the Role
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between legacy Microsoft data stacks and cutting-edge cloud architectures, bringing deep, hands-on experience in distributed PySpark streaming, Medallion design patterns, and enterprise semantic modeling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive evaluation of a client's legacy SQL Server/SSIS environment.
- Audit their transition into a modern, real-time Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse architecture.
- Bridge the gap between legacy Microsoft data stacks and cutting-edge cloud architectures.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands-on experience within the Microsoft Data Platform ecosystem (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI).
- 4+ years of experience in Lakehouse Engineering (using Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, or Fabric).
- 2+ years of direct, hands-on architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric (including early public preview and General Availability phases).
- Proven track record leading technical data assessments and authoring executive-level architectural deliverables for enterprise clients
Required Skills
- Deep, hands-on experience in distributed PySpark streaming.
- Experience with Medallion design patterns.
- Enterprise semantic modeling expertise.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Databricks.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures.
