14371 – Project Estimator (onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Occasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and collaboration with on-site teams.

Required:

Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (7+ years);
Experience in utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure;
Experience in engineering principles and practices;
Experience with construction methods, materials, and equipment;
Experience with industry standards and best practices in project estimating and cost management;
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Preferred:

Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (10+ years);
Experience in field engineering or construction management (3+ years);
Experience with cost estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar);
Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6;
Master’s or Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field.
Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Lead the development of detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projects.
Perform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans to support estimating scope quantification.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes.
Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to account for potential project uncertainties.
Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management, project stakeholders, and clients.

Perform value engineering and risk assessments to identify cost‑saving opportunities and establish contingency plans;
Build, refine, and maintain estimating tools, databases, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency;
Track project costs and variances throughout the lifecycle, updating estimates to reflect scope, design, or market changes;
Present estimates, value‑engineering options, and cost impacts to senior management, stakeholders, and clients while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
