Instrument Test Technician II
Location: Milpitas, CA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $28–$32/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Extension Possible)

We are hiring an Instrument Test Technician II to support the production and testing of advanced medical devices. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in electronics, electromechanical systems, medical device manufacturing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production testing of assembled flow cytometers and related medical devices.
  • Conduct system optimization, including laser alignment, pressure adjustments, and electrical calibration.
  • Execute final production testing and inspections to ensure products meet quality and performance specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, optical, fluidic, and electromechanical systems to identify and resolve root causes of failures.
  • Repair or replace defective components and complete required documentation.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, work orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), SOPs, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality teams, and production personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain Device History Records (DHR) and support continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Technical Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-tech or medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting electronic, electromechanical, optical, or fluidic systems.
  • Experience using digital multimeters (DMM/DVM), oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, cGMP (21 CFR Part 820), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma concepts is preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
