We are seeking a mid-level Systems & Network Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, cloud administration, identity management, endpoint management, and IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have solid, hands-on networking knowledge and be comfortable independently troubleshooting common network and connectivity issues. This is not an advanced network engineering role; rather, we are looking for a well-rounded systems administrator who can effectively manage and support modern cloud-based IT environments.
The Systems & Network Administrator will provide IT infrastructure and technical support across CIG and its portfolio companies, with responsibility spanning Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint administration, networking, cybersecurity, SaaS applications, and general IT operations.
Core Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or a related IT role.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Practical experience managing Windows endpoints through Microsoft Intune.
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
- Experience working within cloud-first or hybrid IT environments.
- Strong understanding of users, groups, licensing, permissions, shared mailboxes, email domains, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience troubleshooting Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, authentication, and Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Experience with PowerShell is preferred.
Identity & Endpoint Management
The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with modern identity and endpoint management technologies, including:
- Okta

- Authentication and access troubleshooting

Experience with every platform listed above is not required. Candidates should, however, demonstrate strong experience with modern identity, access, and endpoint management technologies, along with the ability to quickly learn and administer new platforms.
Networking
The candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals and be capable of independently troubleshooting common network issues. Advanced network engineering expertise is not required.

The successful candidate should be comfortable diagnosing and resolving routine network and connectivity problems and understand when an issue should be escalated to a network engineer, vendor, or Internet service provider (ISP).
Cybersecurity
The Systems & Network Administrator should have a strong general understanding of cybersecurity principles, security best practices, identity security, and the role of IT in maintaining a secure technology environment.

This role does not require a dedicated cybersecurity engineer. Experience with comparable enterprise security platforms and a strong understanding of security fundamentals will be considered relevant.

- Resolving Okta authentication and access problems
- Troubleshooting Intune and Jamf enrollment, configuration, and compliance issues
- Windows and macOS troubleshooting
- Network and Wi-Fi connectivity issues
- Printer and conference room technology support
- SaaS application troubleshooting
- Security agent, endpoint, and policy issues
- User onboarding and offboarding
- Account provisioning and deprovisioning
- Supporting application access and permissions
- Working directly with technology vendors, service providers, and ISPs to resolve technical issues
- Escalating complex infrastructure, networking, or security issues when appropriate
