Work Location: Onsite – Full time

Availability to Travel/Expected Travel: Minimal
Role Description:
Scope of Work:
Initial Project Setup:
• Establish mechanism to track project costs with spend/commitment monthly reports, change/risk management, monthly cashflow forecasts, project savings compared to budget estimates, and internal transfers of costs.
• Confirm the final overall budget for the project by working with the Project Management Team for detailed cost analysis.
• Develop and implement the project schedule using Primavera P6, including WBS development, logic ties, and resource-loaded schedules aligned with project deliverables.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define baseline schedules and project milestones.
• Align cost control and schedule structures (CBS/WBS) for seamless integration.
Cost Control & Scheduling Management (Monthly):
• Defining the planned earned value; the ability to provide where we are vs where we should be.
• Manage the overall project budget and ensure compliance with processes.
• Follow industry best practices for cost controls and scheduling.
• Utilize the existing Corporate Engineering template (Excel Spreadsheet) or create alternate reporting tools to maintain a project forecast (commitments, actual cash flow and forecast); interface with vendors and site personnel to understand invoicing schedules and schedule impacts.
• Develop understanding of Standard Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and integrate with
schedule structures; manage and monitor custom CBS within the Excel Spreadsheet.
• Use existing SAP reports to gather data for cost reporting (actuals and commitments).
• Provide monthly/quarterly cost and schedule reports for management, including monthly
variance cash flow and schedule performance metrics.
• Update project cash flow in the custom database - Capital Planning System (CAPS) for each individual CIR.
• Establish and present monthly project metrics, including schedule progress, milestone status, and recovery actions.
• Maintain Change Management and Risk Tracking tools and incorporate schedule risk into
planning models.
• Manage and track contract increase costs, change reasons, and schedule impacts.
• Perform Monthly Risk Analysis and integrate risk scenarios into cost and schedule forecasts.
• Support tracking of internal labor charges in US & outside US (OUS) locations.
• Identify and manage a diversity spend report for Tier 1 vs. Tier 2 spend.
• Identify and manage an acceleration spend report and reflect changes in schedule compression scenarios.
• Ensure project schedules are updated regularly and incorporate stakeholder feedback,
progress reports, and real-time changes.
• Facilitate look-ahead planning and schedule risk assessments.
Quarterly Forecasting:
• Establish and present quarterly project cost and schedule metrics.
• Support internal transfers of labor, aligning resource schedules with forecast adjustments.
• Year-End Reporting (Yearly): Establish final year-end cost and schedule performance metrics and presentations.
Project Close-out (End of Project): Confirm all contracts and POs are closed in SAP.
• Complete program and project close-out financial and schedule reports.
• Capitalization of project close-out financial and schedule reports. Capitalization of project assets and verification of schedule adherence to baseline and critical path milestones.
