Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager for a 9–12 month contract engagement with a growing, fast paced organization in the manufacturing and industrial services space.
\n
This individual will coordinate delivery across a diverse technology roadmap that includes an ERP program, custom software applications, connected/IoT technology, a Microsoft Fabric data platform, a Quality Management System rollout, and an AI initiative being delivered in partnership with an outside consultancy.

The IT organization is a small, hands on team managing several significant initiatives simultaneously. The Delivery Manager will take ownership of the roadmap coordination, delivery cadence, project tracking, and external partner coordination, allowing IT leadership to spend more time leading the team and focusing on technology strategy.
\n
This is a project and delivery coordination role, not a people management position. The Delivery Manager will not own architecture or product decisions. The focus is making sure decisions are translated into clear plans, dependencies are managed, commitments are tracked, and projects continue moving toward delivery.

What You Will Own

- Maintain the IT roadmap as a living delivery plan, including sequencing, dependencies, capacity, milestones, and status across multiple concurrent technology initiatives.
- Establish and manage the weekly delivery cadence, including project stand ups, delivery reviews, status updates, risks, blockers, and escalations.
- Support a major ERP release and cutover by maintaining the project plan, tracking dependencies, surfacing blockers, and keeping the cutover checklist moving.
- Coordinate external technology partners, including ERP services providers, AI consultants, and other vendors.
- Track partner deliverables against statements of work, timelines, commitments, and agreed scope.
- Establish a consistent intake process for new technology requests, capturing the business problem, owner, expected value, urgency, and estimated IT effort before work is scheduled.
- Coordinate across IT and business stakeholders to ensure responsibilities and dependencies remain clear.
- Produce concise weekly status reporting for executive and IT leadership.
- Maintain a monthly roadmap view for leadership and steering committee discussions.
- Document decisions, actions, owners, and next steps and drive them through completion.
- Build repeatable delivery processes, templates, and documentation that can be successfully handed back to the organization at the end of the engagement.

Minimum Qualifications
\n

- Experience coordinating at least one multi team technology program from planning through go live.
- Demonstrated ability to independently maintain project plans, roadmaps, backlogs, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
- Experience using Jira or a comparable project management tool.
- Experience managing or coordinating an external technology partner against a statement of work.
- Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent technology initiatives and changing priorities.
- Comfortable identifying scope conflicts, challenging priorities, and communicating the impact of adding new work to an existing roadmap.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise status reporting for executive leadership.
- Proactive approach to identifying blockers, risks, dependencies, and missed commitments.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, fast moving IT organization where the role requires hands on coordination rather than traditional enterprise PMO oversight.

Preferred Qualifications
\n

- ERP implementation, upgrade, release, or cutover experience with Acumatica, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or a comparable ERP platform.
- Experience supporting custom software development and release delivery.
- Experience coordinating AI, data, analytics, or emerging technology initiatives.
- Manufacturing, distribution, industrial services, or similar operational industry experience.
- Experience establishing an IT intake and prioritization process.
- Experience working with external consulting and technology vendors.
- CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience working within a small IT team, rather than exclusively within a large enterprise PMO.

What Success Looks Like
\n
The successful Delivery Manager will bring structure without slowing the organization down. They will be comfortable managing several workstreams simultaneously, keeping plans current without being chased, proactively surfacing risks, and ensuring internal teams and external partners follow through on commitments.

By the end of the engagement, the organization should have a sustainable delivery cadence, documented intake and prioritization processes, reusable project templates, and a technology roadmap that can continue to be managed effectively after the engagement concludes.

The projected hourly range for this position is $70 to $90.
