Role Description The Project Lead Technical Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Tradition-Port St Lucie, FL. This position oversees the technical development of architectural projects from concept through construction, ensuring design intent, code compliance, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include coordinating drawings and specifications, managing submittals and RFIs, and integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows into project delivery. The role involves leading multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with consultants and contractors, and supporting project management tasks such as schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation. The Project Lead Technical Architect also provides guidance on sustainable design strategies, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) considerations, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect with min. 7 years licensure, Florida registration preferred but not required.
- Commercial project experience min. 7 years, Residential Experience a plus.
- Strong architectural design and technical skills, with experience in Architecture and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Demonstrated project oversight capabilities, including Project Management and coordination of Submittals.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and certifications, including familiarity with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, and related BIM platforms).
- Thorough understanding of building codes, construction methods, detailing, and specification development.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional degree in Architecture and progress toward or completion of architectural licensure preferred.
- Experience with urban design or interior projects is beneficial, as well as prior work with commercial, institutional, or mixed-use developments.
