Job Summary

This is a hands-on field position for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety and quality, and enjoys working independently while being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Complete FTTH drop placements, customer installations, activations, reworks, and other fiber-related tasks.
- Prepare for daily assignments by ensuring all necessary materials, tools, equipment, and job information are ready.
- Install and route fiber drops while protecting customer property and existing utilities.
- Complete professional interior installations, including cable routing, drilling, sealing penetrations, and proper equipment placement.
- Test and verify signal and service quality after installation.
- Accurately document completed work, including photos, materials used, and detailed job notes.
- Follow all safety requirements, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), PPE, utility locates, traffic control, and jobsite safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and workspace.
- Communicate professionally with customers, management, dispatch, and other field personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet Aquila Corporation's driving requirements.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, testing equipment, and installation tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical field work, including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling cable, and carrying equipment.
- Strong attendance, punctuality, communication, and dependability.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to management and dispatch.
- Previous experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, cable installation, low-voltage systems, construction, or customer installations is preferred.
