Job Description
Position Summary
Sigma Group is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically curious Project Coordinator to support customer RFQs, quotations, new programs, and cross-functional projects across our automotive and electronics businesses.
This role serves as a central coordination point between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Finance, and other teams. The Project Coordinator helps ensure that requirements are communicated, responsibilities are assigned, deadlines are visible, and deliverables are completed on time.
This position does not own the technical decisions or functional work of each department. Instead, the Project Coordinator is responsible for keeping activities organized and moving forward through consistent tracking, communication, follow-up, and escalation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate who is highly organized, enjoys working with multiple teams, and wants broad exposure to a fast-paced automotive and electronics manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate customer RFQs, quotations, new programs, and related cross-functional deliverables from initiation through completion.
- Maintain project and RFQ timelines, deadlines, action items, owners, and status.
- Proactively follow up with team members to ensure assigned deliverables remain on schedule.
- Identify upcoming deadlines, missing information, open actions, bottlenecks, and potential delays.
- Escalate risks or overdue deliverables to the appropriate team members or management before commitments are missed.
- Coordinate activities and information across Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Finance, and other departments.
- Coordinate the review of customer requirements, drawings, specifications, BOMs, CAD files, and other technical documentation with the appropriate internal teams and track resulting actions.
- Maintain organized and accurate RFQ records, project documentation, revisions, trackers, and status reports.
- Use Microsoft Excel, JIRA, and other project-tracking tools to maintain visibility of deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate project and RFQ review meetings as needed, document action items, and follow up on commitments.
- Support the transition of awarded business and new programs from quotation into internal execution.
- Assist with improving project-tracking processes, templates, checklists, and workflows.
- Provide management with clear visibility into project status, priorities, risks, and outstanding deliverables.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and deadline-management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
- Comfortable following up consistently with others and helping maintain accountability for commitments.
- Comfortable working in a technical and manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Internship or 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, manufacturing, automotive, electronics, engineering, supply chain, or a related environment.
- Experience with JIRA or similar project/task-management software.
- Familiarity with RFQs, quotations, technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, or CAD files.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to automotive or electronics manufacturing is a plus.
Recent graduates with strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means that:
- RFQs and projects have clearly identified deliverables, owners, and deadlines.

- Cross-functional teams understand what is needed and when it is due.
- Potential delays and risks are identified and escalated early.
- Project documentation and trackers remain accurate and current.
- Management has clear visibility into project and RFQ status.
- Customer and internal commitments are supported through strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
