Job Description

A Rewarding Role with Hours You Can Count On

Are you an experienced and compassionate caregiver looking for consistent hours and truly meaningful work? We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill guaranteed 8-hour day shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

This is a unique opportunity to provide 1-on-1 support for Meagan, a vibrant and engaging woman in her 30s. This isn't an agency job with a rotating list of clients. This is a chance to build a genuine, long-term professional relationship where you are a valued and essential member of the team. If you are ready for a stable role where you can make a profound impact, we invite you to apply.

What We Offer: The Opportunity

  • Guaranteed, Consistent Hours: We have stable 8-hour day shifts available every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are flexible—you can work some or all of these days. For a motivated candidate who wants it, a consistent 32-hour/week schedule is available. The hours are here for you.

  • Meaningful 1-on-1 Connection: Move beyond task-based care and build a real connection. You will be the key to helping Meagan engage with her passions for music, art, and exploring new experiences in her community.

  • Competitive Pay & Paid Training: We value your skill and commitment. We offer a competitive wage and provide comprehensive, paid training on all aspects of the role, including Hoyer lift operation.

  • A Supportive, Person-Centered Team: Work directly with a family that respects and values your contribution. This position is part of the Self-Determination Program, which champions a collaborative and dignified approach to care.

  • Engaging & Varied Days: Your role goes beyond the home. You will drive a provided wheelchair-accessible van to facilitate community outings, appointments, and social events, ensuring no two days are exactly alike.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Empower Daily Living: Provide dignified, hands-on support with personal care, including transfers (Hoyer lift), bathing, dressing, feeding, medication administration, and incontinence care.

  • Facilitate Community Adventures: Plan and participate in fun, meaningful community outings and activities during each shift.

  • Offer Genuine Companionship: Be a positive, reliable, and encouraging presence, assisting in maintaining a structured and fulfilling daily routine.

  • Provide Essential Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks that are directly related to Meagan’s care.

Our Ideal Candidate Is...

Someone who is compassionate, patient, and exceptionally reliable. You bring a positive and professional demeanor to your work and have a genuine desire to help others thrive.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean, safe driving record.

  • The physical ability to assist with mobility and transfers.

  • Willingness and ability to pass a mandatory LiveScan background check.

While previous experience with Cerebral Palsy or in a 1-on-1 setting is highly preferred, your dedication, empathy, and reliability are what matter most. We provide excellent training for the right candidate.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the stable, rewarding opportunity you've been looking for, we would love to hear from you.

To be considered, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter or note that answers the following questions:

  1. What interests you most about this specific 1-on-1 position with Meagan?

  2. Our primary need is for day shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please specify which of these days you are available to work consistently. Are you looking for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 of these shifts per week?

  3. This position requires passing a LiveScan background check (at your own expense) and being hired via a Financial Management Service (FMS). Please confirm you are able and willing to complete this process.
