Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of High Voltage (HV) electrical distribution systems, including HV wiring harnesses, busbars, and battery interconnects.
- Own the packaging and integration of HV components within vehicle and battery architectures.
- Perform 3D CAD routing, clearance analysis, and release of 2D engineering drawings using CATIA, NX, or Siemens Capital.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including DFMEA, DVP&R, engineering specifications, and design release documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HV safety requirements, creepage and clearance standards, EMC/EMI requirements, and electrical protection strategies.
- Support component sourcing, prototype builds, design reviews, and issue resolution throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Work closely with Battery, Electrical, Vehicle Integration, Manufacturing, and Validation teams to ensure robust system performance and manufacturability.
- Analyze validation results and drive corrective actions to meet quality, reliability, and safety targets.
- Support engineering change management and product release activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the design and release of automotive High Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems.
- Strong experience with HV wiring harnesses, high-power connectors, cable assemblies, shielding, and crimp technologies.
- Deep understanding of rigid and flexible busbar design, battery pack interconnects, and thermal management principles.
