The purpose of the Maintenance Manager position is to be responsible for all aspects related to plant Maintenance. To include but not limited to implementation of improvement projects, identification/verification of all required upgrades to bring the plant up to company standards, maintaining plant infrastructure, and maintaining the process control system. Overseeing maintenance coordination, project development assistance, cost estimation, coordination with contractors, budget and scheduling control, quality assurance and implementation of the expense and capital projects at the company’s facility.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance:
- Lead the plant Maintenance team.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance disciplines.
- Responsible for the implementation of the company Asset Integrity initiatives.
- Develop, analyze, and control Maintenance budgets/costs.
- Develop and Prioritize Expense Projects for approvals and execution.
- Ensure the setup of the asset breakdown structure in the Computer Maintenance Management System.
- Assure the definition of critical equipment and the implementation of their Maintenance plans.
- Ensure that all Maintenance personnel have the relevant skills and knowledge to carry out their duties safely, efficiently, and effectively. Mentor and coach maintenance staff, recommend training and development.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with other department managers to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
- Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
- Ensure proper equipment documentation is maintained Request and review equipment failure/damage investigation reports.
- Review the Preventive Maintenance program to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Responsible for Maintenance overview updates on schedule and spending.
- Responsible for regular Maintenance KPIs and cost control reporting to management.
- Ensure the Management of Change process is followed.
- Ensure site compliance with company required equipment standards.
- Ensure that effective long and short-term maintenance planning and scheduling takes place.
- SUPERVISION:
- Supervision of Maintenance staff. Indirect oversight of contractors is required.
- EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree or higher in a technical field required.
- Minimum 10 years in Maintenance work experience to include but not limited to:
- 3 or more years working with rotating equipment.
- 3 or more years in reading and comprehending Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's).
- 5 or more years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of valve, piping, and pipeline equipment.
- Experience working with DOT regulations.
- Project organization, planning scheduling and cost control.
- Computer proficient with Excel, Word, and SAP.
