Sylvia's Restaurant, a renowned name in Soul Food & Culinary Experiences, is looking for a superstar Special Events Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be the glue that holds our Catering & Special Events division together, ensuring every function runs flawlessly.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Be our go-to person for administrative tasks, handling everything from emails and invoices to proposals and event details.
- Coordinate the logistics of dream events, from weddings and fundraisers to on-site and off-site gatherings.
- Respond to inquiries with professionalism and a smile, whether it's a client or a curious walk-in.
- Provide catering information, showcasing marketing materials, and even giving venue tours.
- Bridge the gap between our Catering team, chefs, wait staff, and most importantly, our valued clients.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- At least 2 years of experience making catering dreams come true.
- A passion for exceptional customer service and a smile that lights up a room.
- Strong organizational skills - you'll be the master of to-do lists and deadlines!
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - to ensure everything is crystal clear.
- A pro at Microsoft Office - spreadsheets, emails, proposals - you name it, you can handle it.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience navigating the world of event logistics (décor, entertainment, you name it!).
- A knack for problem-solving, because unexpected situations are part of the event world.
