This position serves in a multi-agency environment consisting of co-located state, local and federal law enforcement agencies and prosecutors and is funded by a grant from the Criminal Justice Division (CJD) of the Texas Governor's Office as specified below at The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center. The TAG Administrator coordinates communications between the TAG partnering agencies and serves as the *TAG Center primary liaison to the McAllen Police Department in administering the grant, which includes reporting metrics and applying for additional grants as the TAG continues to operate. The TAG Administrator, working in conjunction with the McAllen Police Department, is responsible in ensuring the grant funds are properly expended and recorded. This position is a City of McAllen position created at the McAllen Police Department as a non-law enforcement position and is subject to all City of McAllen and McAllen Police Department personnel rules, regulations and policies. This position is grant funded and contingent on continued availability of funds.
