Temporary IT Support Technician with Potential to Hire

Dataserv is an established, well-respected, and growing B2B technology management and solutions provider serving businesses across Monmouth and Ocean Counties. We're looking for a professional, motivated IT Support Technician to join our managed services team.
About the Role
You'll support our clients' users, desktops, servers, and networks, both remotely and onsite. We prefer candidates who live within 15 miles of our Spring Lake office.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and resolve tickets in our ticketing system
- Provide remote and onsite support for client desktops, servers, and network equipment
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365/Entra ID environments
- Troubleshoot network issues, including firewalls, switches, wireless, DNS, and DHCP
- Handle user setup and changes, password resets, MFA enrollment, and email administration
- Install and configure software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Adobe Acrobat, among others
- Perform onsite installations, hardware upgrades, and equipment changeouts
- Add, remove, and configure users and phones on VoIP systems (we train)
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of client environments and work performed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of IT support experience, ideally in an MSP or multi-client environment
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and Active Directory
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and firewall/switch configuration
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technology in plain language
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, and clean driving record
Travel
Occasional travel to client sites is required. Mileage is reimbursed for travel beyond 5 miles of our office.
