Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000
NBS has standard office hours of Monday through Friday 8 a.m. 5 p.m. PST with the option to work a Compressed Work Week (9/80) schedule.
Summary:
NBS is currently seekinga Project Manager
in our District Management Consulting Group. NBS' District Management Group works closely with local government agencies to provide for the ongoing administration of Special Financing Districts, including assessment districts, community facilities districts, parcel taxes, and various property-related charges.
Essential functions:
Project Management: Responsible for the management of cyclical administrative projects for assigned clients, including implementing quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy of data and results. This also involves regularly reviewing team members' work, providing guidance and support as needed, and addressing any discrepancies or errors. The role is also accountable for project delivery, including managing timelines, and overall execution. This includes client interactions, delegation of project tasks to staff, and attending or presenting at public meetings. May include the completion of proposals, contracts, and invoicing
Data Analysis: Overall accountability to ensure accurate and timely analysis of all data required for project completion and required calculations for deliverables. This may include gathering, cleaning, modeling, and interpreting data and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders through reports and/or presentations.
Client Services Management: Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and their assigned representatives. Demonstrated ability to engage in active discussion to understand the goals of stakeholders to guide them to an optimal solution based on research and expertise. Participate in client meetings and/or presentations, including on-site visits and council meetings. Serve as a client service manager consistent with criteria set forth in the NBS Client Care Program, as assigned.
Team Performance & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and analysts, helping them grow in their roles and careers. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set clear goals for individual and team performance. Foster a collaborative inclusive, and high-performance team culture by promoting knowledge sharing, accountability, and professional growth. Act as a coach for team members, guiding them through complex project challenges and providing opportunities for skill development. Work closely with senior leadership to identify resource needs and ensure proper team alignment with organizational and department goals.
Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services provided to clients through additional projects or offerings. Educate clients on other services available within the firm and how they can add value to the client. Assist in driving revenue growth through strategic cross-selling, ensuring that client needs are met while expanding business opportunities and client retention
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of consulting in the administration of special financing districts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling and generating new business.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software, including advanced level of Excel, and similar platforms.
- A proven ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights based on client data and needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively navigate the challenges of change management.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
