We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will create, improve, and maintain the build and release environment, tools, and processes necessary for developing embedded and application software. This role involves assessing and implementing new tools and processes to enhance software development quality, safety, and security.
Responsibilities
- Create, improve, and maintain the build and release environment, tools, and processes for embedded and application software.
- Assess and implement new tools and processes to improve software development quality, safety, and security.
- Manage day-to-day tool infrastructure, including troubleshooting issues and identifying resources to resolve problems.
- Participate actively in all aspects of the software development life cycle as a team member.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Stay updated with state-of-the-art technologies, tools, and techniques for automation, quality, and security in software development.
- Document designs, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps or Release Engineering role.
- 2 years of experience with Windows or Linux server administration.
- Experience with DevOps tools or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting teams developing embedded software, particularly in the medical device industry.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps for source control, pipelines, and work management.
- Familiarity with Jira for agile project and sprint management.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
