Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Telecommunications Technician role based in Sherman, TX. The Telecommunications Technician installs, configures, tests, and maintains telecommunications systems, including telephony equipment and network cabling. Daily responsibilities include running and terminating cables, setting up hardware, performing system checks, and responding to service requests. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine inspections, and documenting work performed in accordance with company standards. The technician collaborates with project teams, follows safety protocols, and provides clear communication to supervisors and clients regarding project status and system performance.\n

• Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues efficiently.

• Hands-on experience with telecommunications systems and telecommunications infrastructure installation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of telephony systems, including setup, configuration, and basic diagnostics.

\n

• Proficiency in cabling work, such as pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing copper and fiber optic cables.

\n

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation.

\n

• Familiarity with industry safety standards and safe use of tools, ladders, and test equipment.

\n

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

\n

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in telecommunications or networking are a plus.

\n

• Previous field experience in telecom, low-voltage, or network infrastructure installation preferred.

\n

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to job sites as needed.

\n
