Job Description

The Product Engineer is a strategic, hands‐on technical leader responsible for the end‐to‐end execution of financial products built on third‐party platforms. The role blends technical depth with business strategy—owning the technical roadmap, ensuring architectural alignment, resolving issues, optimizing efficiency, and supporting product adoption. It also manages solution lifecycle activities and embeds resiliency and risk practices to ensure continuity and rapid recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery of products built on vendor platforms; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and long‐term technology strategy.
  • Own the technical roadmap and translate business priorities into actionable plans.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to maintain stable, secure product performance.
  • Partner with business units to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen adoption.
  • Support training and enablement to maximize product value.
  • Manage lifecycle activities including enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and decommissioning.
  • Embed resiliency and operational risk practices to ensure continuity and rapid recovery.
  • Collaborate across technology teams to ensure cohesive delivery and adherence to governance.


Duties & Responsibilities (Condensed)

  • Drive technical strategy, roadmap, backlog, and iterative delivery; define and track KPIs/OKRs.
  • Implement telemetry, analytics, and alerting; lead root‐cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Map workflows, identify pain points, design efficiency solutions, and document updated procedures.
  • Maintain a 12–24‐month roadmap; plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and dependency changes.
  • Evaluate and consolidate redundant technologies to reduce cost and risk.
  • Lead resiliency design, BCP/DR documentation, and readiness exercises; support risk, compliance, and audit requirements, including SOX‐related controls.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and compliance obligations.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–10 years of experience in product engineering, technical product ownership, or enterprise systems within financial services.
