Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of construction projects from ground up, ensuring that all project specifications, timelines, and budgets are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and familiarity with regulatory standards including OSHPD and DSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and management of construction activities.
- Prepare and review RFIs (Requests for Information) and ensure timely responses to site queries.
- Manage change orders and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Coordinate submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to facilitate project progress.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure quality control.
- Assist in maintaining project budgets and schedules, and report on project status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering within the construction industry.
- Experience with ground-up construction projects.
- Familiarity with OSHPD and DSA regulations.
- Strong knowledge of RFIs, change orders, and submittals processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
