Full Stack Software Engineer

Compensation: $180,000 to $220,000 base + Equity + Comprehensive Benefits
About the Opportunity
Our client is an AI venture incubator building its fifth-generation AI innovation platform using its proprietary Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) methodology. Backed by Luminate Capital, the company is cash-flow positive, manages over $2B in assets, and is focused on building AI-powered products that solve meaningful business problems.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work directly with CEO and Lead Engineer to build AI-powered features, agents, streaming user interfaces, background jobs, and data pipelines. This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys writing code every day and making a direct impact on the product.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain modern full stack applications using TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.
- Develop AI-powered product features, including LLM applications, agents, streaming interfaces, and backend services.
- Build scalable APIs, background jobs, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to deliver new product capabilities from concept through production.
- Help shape technical decisions while contributing to a fast-moving startup environment.
- Use AI development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years of production experience with TypeScript and Next.js.
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications.
- Strong full stack development experience across frontend and backend.
- Startup experience or an entrepreneurial mindset is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Technical Skills
- TypeScript
- Next.js
- PostgreSQL
- REST APIs
- Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar
- Experience with technologies such as Vercel AI SDK, Drizzle ORM, TanStack Query, and Tailwind is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- Must be willing to work on-site in downtown San Francisco.
- Must enjoy being a hands-on individual contributor.
- Active GitHub contributions and a passion for building products are highly valued.
