EHR Systems Support Analyst – HL7 / Healthcare IT
What This Job Really Is:
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare IT / EHR Systems Support Analyst to support electronic health record and practice-management platforms used in a clinical environment.
This role combines application support, business analysis, troubleshooting, system administration, healthcare workflow analysis, vendor coordination, and technical support.
The strongest candidates will have direct experience supporting EHR or Practice Management systems in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting, along with strong Windows, cloud, ticketing, and healthcare-integration experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and maintain EHR and Practice Management systems.
- Work with developers to support integrations and HL7-based data exchange.
- Gather and document business requirements from clinical, technical, administrative, and program stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot EHR application issues and coordinate with vendor support teams.
- Support software updates, patches, backups, and system maintenance.
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, security, and HIPAA compliance.
- Analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities to improve system use and efficiency.
- Support testing, implementation, configuration, and enhancement of EHR platforms.
- Provide advanced Windows support for users and applications.
- Create clear and detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators.
- Use REST APIs, Postman, Swagger, and related tools for testing and documentation.
- Generate and analyze reports to support operational and clinical decisions.
- Assist trainers and end users with EHR adoption and troubleshooting.
- Support cloud-hosted applications and environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Participate in after-hours or on-call support when required.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Candidates should have:
- At least 3 years of experience supporting EHR and/or Practice Management systems in a healthcare, hospital, clinic, or similarly complex medical environment.
- Proven experience with EHR implementation, configuration, maintenance, or support.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting cloud-based applications or environments, such as AWS or Azure.
- At least 3 years of experience using ticketing/issue-management systems, preferably JIRA, Ivanti, or similar.
- At least 5 years of advanced Windows operating-system experience.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, administrators, clinical personnel, and vendors.
Education / Experience Requirement:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or
- Equivalent experience supporting hospital IT or similarly complex systems.
