Requirements
- 4 or more years of hands-on experience administering and upgrading enterprise self-hosted Looker platforms.
- Proficiency in managing and modernizing cloud computing infrastructure utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 instances.
- Experience with LookML modeling, version control, and deploying development-to-production workflows via GitHub.
- Experience in validating database migrations and executing complex SQL queries across Snowflake and Teradata environments.
- Experience with administering user provisioning, entitlement governance, Azure AD integrations, and Looker APIs.
- Experience in troubleshooting enterprise-scale business intelligence performance bottlenecks and configuring Redis caching.
- Excellent communication skills to lead technical runbook authoring and educate cross-functional team members on platform best practices.
Responsibilities
- Administer, patch, and support enterprise development and production Looker platforms to ensure high availability.
- Lead version upgrades and modernize distributed AWS EC2 infrastructure supporting the business intelligence environment.
- Manage LookML data modeling architectures, user branch workflows, and deployment processes using GitHub.
- Validate data integrity and support database connectivity during active migrations from Teradata to Snowflake.
- Manage centralized user provisioning, permission schemes, and access controls aligned with enterprise governance policies.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, evaluate Redis caching options, and support advanced API integrations.
- Author comprehensive technical runbooks and deliver structured knowledge transfer sessions to upskill internal teams.
