Ingenium Talent is working with a regional insurance client in their search for an experienced Senior Guidewire Developer to join their team and play a key role in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of direct Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience, strong hands-on configuration expertise, and a proven track record working with Guidewire Cloud. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level Guidewire professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable insurance technology solutions, and working with modern Guidewire Cloud implementations.

This position is starting as a 6-12 month contract with possibility of extension. Please note that the role does require being onsite at our client's Louisville, KY headquarters at least three days/week.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Guidewire professional who can operate independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders. You should have deep PolicyCenter knowledge, strong configuration skills, and practical experience delivering solutions in a Guidewire Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • \n

  • Perform hands-on PolicyCenter configuration, including product model, business rules, workflows, screens, validation, and integrations.
  • \n

  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions.
  • \n

  • Develop and maintain Guidewire applications using Gosu and Java-based technologies.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • \n

  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and deployment activities.
  • \n

  • Support integrations and custom development using technologies such as Java, Spring, and jQuery.
  • \n

  • Work within Guidewire Cloud, contributing to cloud-based development, configuration, upgrades, and deployments.
  • \n

  • Stay current with Guidewire platform capabilities, development best practices, and cloud releases.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 6+ years of direct, hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development experience.
  • \n

  • Guidewire Associate Certification is required.
  • \n

  • Strong hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration experience.
  • \n

  • Solid experience with Gosu and Guidewire development methodologies.
  • \n

  • Professional experience with Java.
  • \n

  • Experience with Spring Framework.
  • \n

  • Experience with jQuery and web-based application development.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated experience working with Guidewire Cloud.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and deployment practices.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
  • \n

  • Experience with the Guidewire Palisades release.
  • \n

  • Experience supporting Guidewire Cloud migrations, upgrades, or implementations.
  • \n

  • Experience with PolicyCenter integrations and external system interfaces.
  • \n

  • Property & Casualty insurance industry experience.
  • \n

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • \n
