Position SummaryUnder the direction of department leadership and in collaboration with senior analysts, the Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst I supports and maintains key revenue cycle applications to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and workflow efficiency across Keck Medicine of USC. This role focuses on both operational support and project-based initiatives, including system design, implementation, configuration, and reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Support & Administration
- upport, maintain, and troubleshoot applications such as Soarian Financials, PBAR, Cerner, MedSeries4, Change Healthcare, nThrive, Relay Assurance Plus, Visiquate, GE Centricity, and PatientKeeper.
- Perform system upgrades, monitor integrations, and serve as a liaison between vendors and internal users.
- Ensure system security, maintain user access, and uphold data integrity.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Create standard and ad hoc reports using tools like Soarian Reporting, IBM Showcase, QlikView, Cerner Command Language (CCL), OnDemand, and MedSeries4 Query/Reports.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Customer Service & Support
- Provide timely and courteous support to users regarding application issues, enhancements, and inquiries.
- Log and manage service tickets, follow escalation protocols, and ensure prompt resolution.
Solution Development
- Analyze user requirements and system workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist in designing solutions that optimize revenue cycle processes and enhance system performance.
Project Participation
- Assist in implementing new systems or features, collaborating with cross-functional teams on scope, testing, and deployment.
- Manage assigned tasks and timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
Training & Documentation
- Help train end-users and provide documentation for system functionality and procedures.
- Support new staff onboarding related to applicable systems.
On-Call Support
- Participate in on-call rotation and perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, IT, or related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant business or IT support experience.
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle systems.
- Experience in ambulatory or acute care settings.
- Proficiency with applications such as Soarian, Cerner, Change Healthcare, PatientKeeper, or nThrive is highly preferred.
Skills:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.

- Basic project management understanding.
- Familiarity with ITIL standards and healthcare regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to industry-standard reporting tools and healthcare informatics.
- Certification or coursework in revenue cycle, Epic, Cerner, or related healthcare IT systems.
