We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Technical Designer to join our Women's Missy Ready-to-Wear team.
\n
The ideal candidate is an exceptional fit and construction expert with extensive experience across all women's RTW categories. This individual must have a highly developed eye for fit, proportion, balance, and garment construction, combined with the technical expertise to identify issues, determine solutions, and execute corrections accurately and efficiently.
\n
This is a hands-on role requiring strong independent judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple categories in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Independently manage the technical design process across all Women's Missy RTW categories, including sweaters, knits, wovens, dresses, tops, bottoms, jackets, and outerwear.
- Lead fittings from initial development through production, ensuring exceptional fit, proportion, balance, and consistency with established brand standards.
- Identify fit and construction issues and provide precise, actionable solutions based on strong patternmaking and garment construction knowledge.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs, measurement specifications, grading, construction details, and fit documentation.
- Review development samples, patterns, pre-production samples, and production approvals to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Communicate detailed fit comments, pattern corrections, and technical instructions clearly and effectively to overseas factories and vendors.
- Partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to maintain design integrity while achieving production timelines and cost objectives.
- Establish and maintain consistent fit standards across multiple categories, brands, and product lines.
- Proactively troubleshoot technical and production issues, providing practical solutions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications\n

- Minimum 8–10 years of technical design experience in Women's Missy and/or Contemporary Ready-to-Wear.
- Demonstrated expertise in fitting garments across multiple categories, with exceptional knowledge of garment balance, proportion, and silhouette.
- Advanced understanding of patternmaking, garment construction, grading, and manufacturing processes.
- Extensive experience working directly with overseas factories and communicating technical corrections.
- Strong proficiency in technical specifications, fit documentation, and tech pack development.
- Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and relevant PLM systems preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
