Job DescriptionJob Summary:

The Bowling Technical Supervisor ensures high quality performance and productivity of the bowling operations. Performs tasks required to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair bowling equipment. Manages, directs, and trains bowling technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads by example, modeling SASCH values and supporting the culture by treating all employees fairly and applying policies and procedures consistently and in a timely manner.

  • Promotes good interdepartmental relations within the casino.
  • Uses the chain of command to address issues and concerns in a constructive manner.
  • Oversees and performs preventive and corrective maintenance of the GSX machine (pin setter) and the bowling lanes.
  • Oversees and performs preventive and corrective maintenance of games and machines in the arcade.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate work of Bowling Mechanics.
  • Monitor team member performance to include but not limited to providing and supervising team members’ personal and professional development, providing mentorship, preparing and conducting evaluations and delivering recognition and rewards as needed to maximize productivity.
  • Troubleshoots computerized systems to clear malfunctions, make adjustments and repairs as necessary.
  • Maintains communication and record keeping of the GSX (pin setter) system and bowling lanes.
  • In collaboration with Bowling Manager, maintains, orders parts and supplies to ensure optimum quality performance on equipment.
  • Maintains records of all equipment and parts ordered.
  • Maintains MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) sheets for bowling center.
  • Maintains maintenance schedule and assigns duties to technicians.
  • Replace and/or rebuild parts (to include welding and soldering as needed).
  • Ongoing training to comply with all bowling operations procedures and policies to include safety regulations and maintenance procedures on bowling equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least three years’ experience in the field of bowling machinery and mechanics.
  • At least three years supervisory or management experience in a related field.
  • Must be able to work various hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to associate and communicate with customers and team members.
  • Proficient in basic math.
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
  • Supervises assigned staff to ensure all productivity and quality standards are achieved.
  • Must have working knowledge of pin setters and automatic scoring devices
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license.

  • Must be able to handle and use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must present self in a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Physical ability to safely perform the essential job functions of the position.
  • Must be able to maneuver around the office and the facility as needed.

  • Smartphones, computers, laptop computers, and other traditional office equipment as required.
