Job Summary
Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a global manufacturer making strides in their industry. Recently completing a ServiceNow implementation, they are seeking a short-term Consultant to support operations. The ServiceNow CMDB Administrator is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB, supports IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, and provides leadership in the development and implementation of CMDB policies and procedures. The CMDB Administrator will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure the CMDB supports the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required
- ITIL, ServiceNow, or other relevant certifications are preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a CMDB within the ServiceNow platform
- Experience with ITSM processes, tools, and data management
- Experience with integration of IT systems into ServiceNow (SCCM, Intune, Defender, and other Azure-based)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Description and Responsibilities
- 30% - Leading the integration of CMDM with other IT systems and tools, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency
- 20% - Provide training and support to IT staff and business users on CMDB processes and best practices.
- 20% - Oversee the daily operations of the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- 10% - Develop and implement CMDB policies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective management and control of the CMDB.
- 10% - Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and implement CMDB requirements, ensuring alignment with ITSM processes.
- 10% - Conduct regular audits and assessments of the CMDB to identify and address data quality issues and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
