We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician with a busy fabrication shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Job duties

- Track and perform routine maintenance functions on company tools, equipment, company vehicles and carts.
- Search costs and availability of needed items and present to supervisor for authorization.
- Well organized and able to maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area.
- Work with various departments and prioritize work to meet company goals.
- Preventative maintenance checks and service on company vehicles.
- Perform facility repairs and maintenance as directed (electrical plugs, fuses, plumbing, doors, lights, roof, A/C units and concrete repairs.
- Consistently monitor all tools, equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure everything is in good aesthetic condition and operating condition.
Job requirements and preferred qualities

- General electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge.
- Welding machine troubleshooting and repair knowledge highly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot blasting and paint equipment highly preferred.
- Basic Forklift, Scissor lift, Pallet jack troubleshooting and repair knowledge and able to read and understand schematics for various equipment.
- Ability to research and repair most basic shop equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and follow all safety, quality and maintenance procedures.
- Reliable, Energetic and Self-starter who demonstrates respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors and customers.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Facilities maintenance or mechanical machine maintenance.
