Summary Description:
Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Admin to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in maintaining, managing, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems operate effectively and securely.
The Infrastructure Admin will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and upkeep of servers, networks, and other critical infrastructure components. This role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing security measures, and working closely with other IT team members to enhance the overall efficiency of our infrastructure.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide support to users as needed.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls and access controls.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations and changes.
- Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with team members on projects to enhance infrastructure functionality.
- Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems ( Linux RHEL, Ubuntu) and server management.
- Experience with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Strong experience with Nutanix, Netapp or Dell Isilon
- Experience implementing security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with license servers and EDA tools.
