We are seeking an Assistant Technical Designer for a new role focusing on men’s apparel. This role is based in New York City and is in-person five days a week

\n


\n

Role Description The Assistant Technical Designer will collaborate with the design, product development, and production teams to assist in creating and developing technical packages and specifications for new products. The Assistant Technical Designer will also assist in fittings and scheduling and will be responsible for ensuring that all garments are in compliance with quality standards and production timelines.

  • Measure and evaluate garment samples

  • Assist with live model and mannequin fittings

  • Organize and track fit samples
  • \n

\n

  • Take detailed fit notes during fittings
  • \n

\n

    \n
  • Upload fit photos and update tech packs
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Support Technical Designers throughout development and production
  • \n

\n

    \n
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, Pre-Production, and Production teams
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Help ensure garment fit, construction, and quality standards are maintained
  • \n

\n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Degree in fashion design, technical design, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Experience with garment fittings, construction techniques, and patternmaking
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • \n

\n


\n

    \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • \n

    \n
  • Knowledge of tech packs and garment construction
  • \n

\n

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy

  • Experience working with a diverse team and adapting to new technologies and systems
