Work Location: 100% Onsite

Duration: 2 Months

Hours: 37 Hours/Week

Candidate Location: Must be a current South Carolina resident, No Relocation

Job Summary: The technician will support computers, software, peripherals, classroom technology, audiovisual equipment, and other common technology issues. The role will also assist with workstation setup, equipment deployment, employee onboarding/offboarding, classroom and meeting technology, and routine IT maintenance.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Provide frontline technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot software, applications, user accounts, and authentication issues.
  • \n

  • Support printers, peripherals, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and mice.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues.
  • \n

  • Assist with workstation setup and equipment replacement.
  • \n

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • \n

  • Assist with office moves and technology deployments.
  • \n

  • Support classroom and conference-room technology.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot displays, projectors, microphones, cameras, speakers, and presentation equipment.
  • \n

  • Assist with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, livestreams, and hybrid events.
  • \n

  • Assist with Windows, macOS, and mobile device setup and deployment.
  • \n

  • Install approved software and perform routine operating-system updates.
  • \n

  • Assist with device enrollment and workstation configuration.
  • \n

  • Assist with technology inventory and equipment tracking.
  • \n

  • Escalate advanced technical issues to senior IT staff when required.
  • \n

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge supporting computers, technology, or end users.
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware.
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of software and operating systems.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of computer peripherals.
  • \n

  • Ability to troubleshoot common computer and technology problems.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with Windows environments.
  • \n

  • Strong customer-service skills.
  • \n

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n

Preferred Skills

  • Associate Degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
