Job Summary:


Drive New Product Launch Success

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Launch Engineer to support the successful launch of new automotive manufacturing programs. This role serves as a critical link between Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers throughout the industrialization and production ramp-up process.

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience.
  • Experience with new product launches or manufacturing startup activities.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and automotive quality standards.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin skills are a plus.


Responsibilities:

New Program Launch Management:

  • Coordinate and support global, cross-regional, and plant-to-plant project launches.
  • Ensure launch activities comply with project management and launch processes.
  • Identify program risks and develop action plans to ensure successful launches.
  • Support project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and launch readiness reviews.

Production Ramp-Up & Readiness:

  • Organize trial production activities and manufacturing readiness events.
  • Coordinate launch teams during production startup and ramp-up phases.
  • Monitor equipment, tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and capacity requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvements in cycle times, process flow, operator efficiency, and production capacity.

Quality & Problem Resolution:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in resolving manufacturing, tooling, equipment, engineering, and quality concerns.
  • Track and manage quality issues related to incoming materials, engineering changes, customer concerns, and production processes.
  • Support customer and supplier PPAP documentation and approval submissions.
  • Assist with internal production approvals and launch validation activities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between internal departments, suppliers, headquarters teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate launch meetings and drive timely issue resolution.
  • Promote collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, engineering, process engineering, or program launch environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and production processes.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project tracking tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
