Position Overview

The CAD/CAM Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support and maintenance for all aspects of CAD/CAM systems, including installation, training, and troubleshooting. Support is delivered through various channels such as in-person assistance, phone calls, emails, and text messages. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a genuine passion for assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support for dental milling machines, CAM software, dental scanners, and CAD software.
  • Coordinate equipment installations and conduct training sessions for customers to ensure proper usage.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment prior to sales.
  • Create user-friendly documentation, including manuals and training materials for customer reference.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address complex technical challenges and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in the support database.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology to provide cutting-edge support and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience in a CAD/CAM environment.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of dental milling machines, CAM software, dental scanners, and CAD software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude with keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Standard working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime or weekend shifts as required.
  • Travel: Approximately 50% travel is expected for this role.
  • Work Environment: Includes manufacturing settings with exposure to variable temperatures, noise levels, chemical odors, and rotating/stationary equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly; manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment; ability to stand for extended periods; visual acuity for inspections; ability to sit during travel or desk work.
