Job Description Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications used across HR, staffing, payroll, onboarding, timekeeping, and related business functions. This is a hands-on software engineering position requiring strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and MongoDB, along with the ability to work independently across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking business requirements from initial discussions through technical design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to software quality, and the flexibility to work effectively in both modern and legacy application environments. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack features across enterprise web applications
- Build clean, maintainable, and testable code using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and related technologies
- Develop and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and application integrations
- Build responsive React interfaces and reusable frontend components
- Design and maintain MongoDB and NoSQL data models
- Support integration with SQL-based databases and legacy business applications
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, and role-based access patterns
- Support identity management integrations using technologies such as AWS Cognito
- Develop and support real-time application functionality using WebSockets and Redis when appropriate
- Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Jest and Cypress
- Support application containerization, deployment, and cloud environments using Docker and AWS technologies
- Participate in code reviews, daily standups, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support
- Troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers
- Document technical decisions, APIs, deployment procedures, and implementation details
- Collaborate with product, QA, design, technology leadership, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired
- 5+ years of hands-on professional development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- 5+ years of hands-on professional development experience with React and TypeScript
- Strong experience developing backend applications using NestJS or Express
- Strong experience with MongoDB, NoSQL databases, and data modeling
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs
- Working knowledge of JWT, OAuth, authentication, authorization, and role-based access patterns
- Experience with Redux or Redux Toolkit
- Experience with Material UI and modern component-based frontend development
- Experience with CSS-in-JS approaches such as Styled Components or similar technologies
- Practical experience using Git, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merges
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to independently manage development tasks from requirements through production deployment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Experience with:
- C# and ASP.NET MVC / Web API for supporting legacy applications
- SQL Server
- AngularJS or other legacy frontend frameworks
- Microservices and service-oriented architecture
