Examinetics is hiring a Drug & Alcohol Testing Program Administrator to join our team! The Drug and Alcohol Testing Program (DATP) Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day processing and administration of client drug and alcohol testing services. This role manages testing orders from initiation through completion, monitors outstanding testing activity, processes and distributes results and client documentation, maintains accurate records, and ensures services are completed in accordance with established client protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.
The DATP Administrator works closely with clients, collection sites, laboratories, Medical Review Officers (MROs), third-party vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues, obtain missing information, and ensure timely and accurate completion of testing services. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage a high volume of time-sensitive work.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process drug and alcohol testing orders in accordance with established client requirements and testing protocols.
- Place and manage testing orders through applicable drug and alcohol testing platforms, laboratories, collection sites, and vendor systems.
- Verify that orders contain the appropriate testing panel, reason for test, testing authority, specimen type, and other required information prior to processing.
- Monitor open and pending orders to ensure testing is completed timely and follow up on outstanding collections, results, documentation, or other unresolved items.
- Receive, review, and process drug and alcohol testing results in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Generate and distribute client result letters, reports, and other required documentation accurately and within established turnaround times.
- Identify results or situations requiring additional review, including non-negative, invalid, cancelled, refused, or otherwise exception-based results, and route or escalate them appropriately.
- Coordinate with Medical Review Officers (MROs), laboratories, collection sites, and other testing vendors to obtain results, resolve discrepancies, and address testing-related issues.
- Process and monitor DOT and non-DOT testing while following the appropriate procedures and documentation requirements for each testing program.
- Support pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, follow-up, and other testing services as required by client programs.
- Maintain accurate and complete testing records, including orders, results, communications, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Protect the confidentiality of drug and alcohol testing information and ensure records are handled and released in accordance with applicable requirements and company procedures.
- Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding order status, testing requirements, pending results, completed results, and testing documentation.
- Research and resolve order or result discrepancies, including missing information, incorrect testing services, collection issues, delayed results, and documentation errors.
- Follow established client-specific protocols to ensure testing services are processed according to each client's program requirements.
- Assist with random testing program administration, including processing selections, tracking completion, and maintaining required documentation.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc client reports related to testing activity, completion status, results, and other program metrics.
- Perform routine quality assurance reviews of orders, results, and documentation to identify errors or incomplete information and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain accurate information within internal systems and applicable vendor platforms.
- Communicate professionally with clients, donors, collection sites, laboratories, MROs, and internal teams to facilitate timely resolution of testing-related issues.
- Escalate regulatory, client-specific, or unusual testing situations to DAT leadership or other appropriate resources when additional review is required.
- Follow established standard operating procedures and remain knowledgeable about applicable DOT, federal, state, and client-specific drug and alcohol testing requirements relevant to assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with audits, record requests, reconciliation activities, and other operational projects related to drug and alcohol testing services.
- Identify recurring processing issues or workflow opportunities and communicate them to department leadership.
Job Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in administrative, customer service, healthcare, occupational health, compliance, or similarly detail-oriented role preferred.
- Previous drug and alcohol testing experience is a plus but not required.
- MRO Assistant (MRO-A) certification is a plus; training and certification may be provided as needed.
- Ability and willingness to learn drug and alcohol testing processes, regulatory requirements, client protocols, and applicable systems.

- Comfortable learning and working within multiple software platforms and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
