Green Key Resources has partnered with a well-established General Contractor and Construction Manager in the Greater Philadelphia market on their search for a Project Engineer.

\n


\n

Projects: Higher Education, Healthcare, Corporate, Industrial, Retail, Hospitality, and General Commercial

\n


\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career in commercial project management. The company has been operating for more than 100 years and has completed projects across a wide range of commercial markets throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the surrounding region.

The company has extensive experience in higher education, healthcare, corporate, industrial, retail, and hospitality construction, with projects ranging from renovations and interior fit-outs to large-scale additions and ground-up construction.

\n


\n

The Project Engineer will work directly alongside experienced Project Managers and field teams while learning the full construction process. This is a developmental role designed for someone who wants hands-on exposure to project management and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as their career progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and execution.
  • \n

  • Support projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • \n

  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and correspondence.
  • \n

  • Assist with project schedules and track key project deadlines.
  • \n

  • Help coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules.
  • \n

  • Review drawings, specifications, and other construction documents.
  • \n

  • Assist with subcontractor coordination and communication.
  • \n

  • Support project cost tracking and cost control.
  • \n

  • Participate in project meetings and assist with meeting documentation and follow-up.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • \n

  • Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and final project turnover.
  • \n

  • Support project safety and quality initiatives.
  • \n

  • Take on increasing project management responsibilities as experience grows.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • \n

  • Entry-level candidates and recent graduates with relevant construction education or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • \n

  • Previous commercial construction internship, co-op, Project Engineer, or field experience is a plus but not required.
  • \n

  • Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and the commercial construction process preferred.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • \n

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Comfortable working with project management and scheduling technology.
  • \n

  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.
  • \n

  • Ability to work collaboratively with both office and field teams.
  • \n

  • Motivated to develop into an Assistant Project Manager and eventually a Project Manager.
