Seeking passionate Caregivers to launch a new standard of senior home care services in Fort Worth, TX. Always Family has Full- and Part-Time schedules available. Available shifts include Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends.


Responsibilities

  • Follow all instructions for care presented on the care plan.
  • Assist with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities as directed, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, feeding, and meal prep.
  • Engage with clients to provide emotional support and companionship activities.
  • Help keep the client’s environment clean and organized via light housekeeping, which includes (but is not limited to) vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom.
  • Assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
  • Remind clients to take self-administered medication.
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments, trips to social activities and events, or shopping/errands.
  • Perform administrative functions, such as documentation of completion of care activities, and report any changes in the client's physical condition, mental capability, or behavior to our healthcare team.
  • Provide open and effective communication with clients, their families, and our healthcare team.
  • Wear clean, presentable scrubs of any color for all assigned clients unless otherwise instructed.


Pay Rate: $18.00/hr


Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care (Bilingual a plus).
  • Must be a certified nursing assistant, geriatric nursing assistant, and/or home health aide with proof of certification.
  • A minimum of one year of full-time experience in direct patient care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility) or one year of full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in an agency setting.
  • Possess and maintain a CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Dementia or Alzheimer's experience a plus.
  • Work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff.
  • Demonstrate integrity and compassion.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Listed on the nurse aide registry with no findings against the aide relating to client abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of client property.
