Starting Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt
About the Opportunity
Mako Recruiting LLC is partnering with OTS, Inc., an IT service and computer repair shop in Johnstown, PA, to find an enthusiastic and dependable Entry-Level IT Technician to join their team!
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in information technology. The ideal candidate enjoys working with computers, solving technical problems, and helping customers. You will receive hands-on training to develop your technical skills, learn Lenovo systems and products, and become familiar with computer repair and warranty service processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and prepare new computer systems for customer use.
- Assist walk-in customers with computer service and repair needs.
- Diagnose basic computer issues and assist with troubleshooting and repairs as skills develop.
- Participate in training on Lenovo systems, products, and equipment to become qualified to perform warranty-related service work.
- Learn company procedures for equipment setup, service documentation, and repair processing.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service and contribute to a positive customer experience.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work area.
- Perform other related technical duties as needed.
Training and Development: This position includes an extensive training period. Answering incoming phone calls is not an initial responsibility and may be introduced later as training progresses and the employee becomes comfortable with the role.
Qualifications
- An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Support, or a related field is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- An interest in computers, hardware, troubleshooting, and technology is essential.
- Basic familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, and system setup is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
Compensation and Benefits
