Job Title : R&D Hardware Test Technician

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Support the development, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of pharmacy automation equipment and electro-mechanical systems in an R&D environment.

Technical Skills:

Must Have:

Ability to conduct routine physical, chemical, and mechanical tests.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in prototype systems.
Reading Electrical Schematics
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Test Documentation

Nice To Have:

Ability to use Mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks, CREO, ProE).
Electrical Soldering
Experience with LabView
Minitab Statistical Software
Reliability Testing

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and test machines, subsystems, and prototypes according to test plans.
Assist engineers with Product Qualification Plans (PQPs) and test reports.
Collect, analyze, and document test data.
Fabricate prototypes, PCB assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test systems.
Troubleshoot, debug, and perform failure analysis on electro-mechanical systems.
Use mechanical tools and machine shop equipment to build prototype parts.
Maintain test equipment, inventory, software, and lab readiness.
Follow 5S and workplace safety practices.

Required Qualifications:

2-year technical degree or equivalent experience; bachelor’s preferred.
5+ years of relevant equipment, industry, or reliability lab experience.
Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documents.
Experience with soldering and PCB assemblies preferred.
Strong computer configuration and system deployment skills.
Good Excel skills; Minitab, LabVIEW, and CAD experience are a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to safely lift up to 45 lbs. and use a pallet jack.
