The Final Test Technician tests newly manufactured and refurbished systems and subsystems on the test floor, ensuring they meet all functional, mechanical, and software requirements before shipment. This role focuses on configuration setup, calibration, system communications, software configuration, and subsystem qualification, while accurately collecting and managing manufacturing test data. The technician collaborates closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly, Engineering, and R&D teams to troubleshoot and resolve diverse and complex issues discovered during testing, and supports disassembly and packaging activities to prepare equipment for customer delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Test newly manufactured and refurbished systems and subsystems on the test floor to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
  • Set up and configure systems, including hardware configuration, software configuration, and calibration of components and subsystems.
  • Verify mechanical fit of components and assemblies to ensure proper installation and integration.
  • Confirm system communications and interfaces are functioning correctly across all relevant hardware and software elements.
  • Perform subsystem qualification to validate performance and reliability against defined requirements.
  • Collect, record, and manage all manufacturing test data associated with Acceptance Testing (ATL) and Setup Verification Audits.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing discrepancies and issues, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
  • Document and report discrepancies clearly and accurately, following established processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with Assembly, Engineering, and R&D teams to investigate and resolve diverse and complex issues found during testing.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly Test Technicians to drive closure of test-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support disassembly of tested systems and prepare equipment for packaging and shipment to customers.
  • Follow technical documentation, including schematics, mechanical and assembly drawings, bills of material, and maintenance and safety instructions, while performing test activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe test area, adhering to all applicable safety guidelines and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in a test or related technical role.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and software test environments.
  • Ability to perform electrical testing and interpret test results accurately.
  • Experience conducting mechanical, electrical, and software tests on complex systems and subsystems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, maintenance instructions, and safety instructions.
  • Proficiency in configuring systems, including hardware setup, calibration, and software configuration.
  • Experience collecting, managing, and documenting manufacturing test data for acceptance testing and audits.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly, Engineering, and R&D teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies during testing.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or a closely related technical field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing test floor environment.
  • Background in supporting acceptance testing (ATL) and setup verification audits.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration between Assembly, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple test tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfort with documenting issues and resolutions in a structured and traceable manner.

Work Environment

This role is based on a test floor environment where newly manufactured and refurbished systems and subsystems are configured, calibrated, and tested prior to shipment. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule, typically from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The work involves hands-on interaction with electrical, mechanical, and software components, as well as frequent use of technical documentation such as schematics, mechanical drawings, and bills of material. The environment requires adherence to safety instructions and procedures, careful handling of equipment during testing, disassembly, and packaging, and close collaboration with cross-functional technical teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Horsham, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
