Hiring: Performance Test Lead | Iselin, NJ | Hybrid

We're looking for an experienced Performance Test Lead with strong expertise in LoadRunner, JMeter, Java, Microservices, Kafka, and Performance Engineering to lead enterprise-scale performance testing initiatives for a high-performing technology team.

Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid)
\n
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
\n
• Lead end-to-end performance engineering initiatives, including requirement gathering, strategy definition, test planning, execution, analysis, and optimization
\n
• Collaborate with application, platform, infrastructure, and business teams to define SLAs, SLOs, KPIs, and performance success criteria
\n
• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and chaos testing for enterprise applications and microservices
\n
• Develop and maintain advanced LoadRunner and JMeter scripts with correlation, parameterization, error handling, custom logic, and data-driven frameworks
\n
• Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable tuning recommendations across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers
\n
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using AppDynamics and Splunk dashboards, flow maps, transaction snapshots, and log analysis
\n
• Evaluate Java application performance, including JVM tuning, garbage collection (GC), heap analysis, and thread diagnostics
\n
• Perform performance testing for Java-based microservices, REST APIs, Kafka messaging systems, and batch-processing workloads
\n
• Assess Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, including CPU/memory utilization, autoscaling behavior, HPA tuning, and cluster performance
\n
• Develop automation scripts using Bash or Python to streamline performance testing and reporting processes
\n
• Drive proactive risk identification, performance improvements, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the software delivery lifecycle
\n
\n
Mandatory Skills:
\n
• Strong expertise in LoadRunner (HTTP/HTML, Web Services, Java Vuser)
\n
• Hands-on experience with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter
\n
• Experience with AppDynamics and Splunk for performance monitoring and diagnostics
\n
• Strong knowledge of Java, Kafka, Microservices, and Batch Processing systems
\n
• Programming experience in Java and C
\n
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift (OCP)
\n
• Expertise in Java performance tuning, JVM, Garbage Collection (GC), heap/thread analysis
\n
• Experience designing and executing Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Scalability tests
\n
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous workflows
\n
• Experience conducting Chaos Engineering experiments and leveraging AI/GHCP across the performance testing lifecycle
\n
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
\n
\n

A highly skilled Performance Test Lead who can independently lead enterprise performance engineering initiatives from strategy through execution and optimization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in performance testing tools, Java-based distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and production diagnostics while collaborating effectively with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
\n
• Experience in Financial Services or Banking environments
\n
• Expertise in cloud-native application performance testing and observability
\n
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration for performance testing automation
\n
• Experience working with containerized microservices on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
\n
• Experience leading enterprise-scale Agile/Scrum delivery teams
\n
