Job Summary:

The System SME provides high-level technical, managerial, and administrative leadership in analyzing, designing, and implementing complex systems within their specialized domain. This role is responsible for problem definition, requirements development, system optimization, and training to ensure organizational efficiency and compliance with industry standards. The SME serves as a trusted advisor, offering strategic recommendations for system improvements and leading training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level guidance on complex system challenges, including problem definition, analysis, and solution implementation.
  • Lead requirements development for new systems or enhancements to existing infrastructure.
  • Advise leadership on organization-wide system improvements, optimizations, and maintenance strategies.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials following instructional systems design (ISD) and adult learning principles.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance team proficiency.
  • Create technical documentation, best practice guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate existing workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration).
  • Should have at least seven years of direct experience in the subject matter. A Master’s degree (MS/MA) may substitute for three years of experience.
  • Proven track record in system analysis, requirements development, and process improvement.
  • Experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
