You start your morning reviewing overnight quality dashboards and trend charts, prioritizing where to focus for the shift. A quick walk through production leads to a coaching moment on 5 Whys with a line supervisor. Before lunch, you finalize the testing plan for multiple process steps and confirm data collection is tight. In the afternoon, you brief the Plant Manager and the North America I&C Quality Manager on corrective actions for a recent customer return, then host a pre-audit check with UL/ETL/ABS contacts. You close the day aligning your team on ISO 9001 system updates and next steps in the plant’s Continuous Improvement roadmap.
The role
Reporting to the North America I&C Quality Manager and the Plant Manager, you will lead the site’s Quality Assurance strategy and enable Continuous Improvement so every product shipped meets Prysmian and customer specifications. As part of the Plant Management Team, you will help the facility achieve its business objectives while maintaining our ISO 9001 certification/accreditation and strong relationships with customers and external accreditation bodies.
What you’ll own
- Create and deploy Quality Assurance and ongoing improvement programs to sustain best-in-class product quality.
- Champion the plant’s Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Oversee testing protocols and verification activities across all process stages.
- Analyze and deliver clear data reports that inform plant decisions.
- Recruit, develop, and train Quality team members to standard work and procedures.
- Own the Quality Management System and lead external audits.
- Serve as the point of contact for customers and regulatory/inspection agencies during visits and audits (UL, ETL, ABS, etc.).
- Investigate field issues and customer returns; implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Contribute as a core member of the Plant Management Team to keep operations effective and aligned to goals.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders on all quality matters.

Preferred background
- 2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience in team-based settings.
- Strong computer proficiency across common business and technical applications.
- Manufacturing experience required; wire & cable or rubber manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Six Sigma certification and/or ASQ certification are advantageous.
Education
- BS in quality, engineering, or a related applied science with a solid foundation in quality and Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- High School Diploma with equivalent/relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Compensation
Base salary typically ranges from $97,000 to $145,000. Placement within this range depends on factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, and geographic location.
