Job Title: Project Coordination Specialist
Job Description
This role combines accounting support with project coordination to ensure accurate financial processing and smooth execution of projects within a dynamic manufacturing and construction-focused environment. You will handle accounts payable and receivable activities, maintain project documentation, and collaborate closely with operations, production, vendors, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable activities from billing through collection.
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Create and manage purchase orders, coordinating with relevant teams to support procurement needs.
- Maintain project files and documentation, ensuring proper document control and organization.
- Coordinate with operations, production, vendors, and customers to support effective project execution.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping for accounting and project-related activities.
- Support scheduling, administrative tasks, and general office operations as needed.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and other business documentation using Microsoft Excel.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and external vendors and customers.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Proficiency in invoice processing and applying customer payments.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for spreadsheets, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience processing purchase orders and vendor invoices.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial and project documentation.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience in construction administration or project coordination is beneficial.
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and other applications.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and customers.

The schedule follows standard Monday–Friday hours, with occasional flexibility based on business needs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
