Position: Data Center Service Engineer

Location: Ellendale, ND

Duration: long term contract to hire

Pay Rate: $43.00/hr +$5/hr on w2 (Relocation expenses) 100% onsite role AvailabilityWilling to work shifts and be on-call MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON SERVERS (WIRING AND HARDWARE) HEAVY LIFTING REQUIRED What You’ll DoProvide on-site support for Dell server and data center systems, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtimePerform hardware maintenance including server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware updatesTroubleshoot system issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systems, escalating when appropriateSupport both reactive and preventive maintenance following established proceduresCollaborate with internal teams and customers during service events to ensure clear communication and resolutionDocument work performed and contribute to shared knowledge and best practicesParticipate in on-call rotations and support extended coverage when needed What You BringExperience supporting servers or data center hardware in a field, enterprise, or customer-facing environmentHands-on skills with server components (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, etc.)Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable working independently on-site and communicating clearly with customersWillingness to learn and support emerging technologies, including AI platforms Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in technical support, field service, or data center rolesAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)Dell or other vendor certifications are a plus, but not requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and support flexible/on-call schedule.
