We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems & Compliance Administrator to maintain a secure, reliable, and compliant IT environment that drives operational efficiency. In this hands-on role, you will manage key IT systems, ensure continuous compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (particularly SOC 2), and support evolving business needs through automation, documentation, and process improvements.
**This is a remote position open to applicants located in North America (US or Canada).**
Responsibilities
IT Systems Management

  • Manage employee device lifecycle: enrollment, configuration baselines, patching, endpoint security, and ongoing compliance.
  • Administer user provisioning and deprovisioning, SSO settings, and MFA enforcement.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution for employee-reported IT issues, ensuring quick resolution and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain IT documentation, integrations, and processes, and continuously identify and implement efficiency improvements.


Compliance & Security Operations

  • Own quarterly User Access Reviews and complete required access changes.
  • Oversee vendor security: onboarding, questionnaires, reviews, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain and submit SOC 2 and compliance evidence, coordinate audits, penetration tests on an ongoing basis.
  • Own employee security awareness training, related policies, and managing monthly phishing simulations, analyze results, and identify corrective training.
  • Manage security incidents, including response and resolution.


Continuous Improvement & Planning

  • Continuously identify and propose opportunities to improve efficiency and/or risk mitigation through automation, process improvements, simplified workflows, etc.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in IT and compliance workflows and propose measurable improvements.
  • Develop clear, actionable plans to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Track progress, risks, and outcomes; regularly communicate updates to the Information Security Manager and leadership.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years or equivalent experience administering Google Workspace, Apple Business Manager, and Jamf, with strong knowledge of how these platforms integrate for secure and efficient endpoint and identity management.
  • Solid understanding of modern identity and access management concepts (e.g., SSO, SCIM provisioning).
  • Proficiency in writing queries, scripts, and automations to streamline tasks and analyze data.
  • Ability to explain complex technical problems and solutions in clear, simple terms.
  • Strong eye for identifying workflow improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Continuous learner with curiosity about emerging technologies, security best practices, and compliance trends.
  • Practical knowledge of compliance standards such as SOC 2; ability to anticipate the compliance implications of operational or architectural changes.
  • Strong prioritization, execution, and decision-making skills aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Commitment to creating clear, concise, and repeatable documentation and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
