Position Summary
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in coordinating and managing construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting with documentation, scheduling, communication, and ensuring project execution aligns with plans, specifications, and company standards.
Reports To
Project Manager and/or Superintendent
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of RFIs, submittals, and project logs
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members
- Support scheduling efforts and monitor project progress
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Assist with quality control and ensure work meets project standards
- Support field operations and conduct site visits as needed
- Assist with tracking project costs and change orders
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Support project close-out processes, including punch lists and final documentation
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
-Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.
- Team collaboration
Physical Requirements:
Work involves regular exposure to active construction environments, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and wearing PPE. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
